Does CCF pay for the only billboard in lakewood?

So, I know the emergency room is still open - is CCF still paying on their lease for the whole 'hospital' building though? How about the parking garage and the walkway between the buildings? I know that storefronts on Detroit and Madison are very limited as to what kind of signs they can have and what they can do with the exterior of their shops. I mention all this because I find this extremely ugly, out of place, and offensive:

People thought the flower house on Lakewood Heights was an eye sore. What do we call this??

Also - when can we get rid of the crosswalk since there is no longer a hospital there and really no need for it any longer.

This City Hall allows the Clinic to anything and everything it wants.

I think it's called "TobyTown"

That is ridiculous!! The law says contractors who are working in the city are not allowed to put a company sign on the lawn where they are working. Why does CCF have a special dispensation? It seems like a misleading advertisement. Big Phonies!
CCF is just a money making machine called a non-profit.

Correction. Cleveland Clinic is a FOR-profit business masquerading as a nonprofit! IRS should pull their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status!

I see banners everywhere in Lakewood, and most look in disrepair. I understand the major beef is that this is the CCF/hospital, other than that I do not understand the alarm.

In terms of storefront signage. I have noticed a huge change of heart in Lakewood by the building/zoning/whatever department, especially when it comes to blade signs. I think the change is for the better. Not only do I like blade signs for their style and look, they save people from unsafely rubber-necking down the street while looking for a business.

Golden Rule still applies. " He Who Has the Gold Rules " That fact permeates our society and those who have the money will never let it change.

I haven't heard of this law/ordinance. There is a sign next to my house as I write. I guess Kapsalis Hardwood Floors never got the memo.

Never fear though, the CCF banner will have to come down when we rip down the parking garage/professional building in June.

What is this "golden rule"? Is it "money talks, bs..." CCF don't need no "golden rule"...they make the rules!

Corey - I don't doubt you, but I don't really notice other banners. Can you give a few examples of other banners you see around town? But as another aside, you don't think that looks garish and trashy?

It does look garish and trashy and CCF does not care as long as they put their name in your face every way you turn. I will look for some more banners.

I will make note and let you know the ones I see. Off the top of my head I cannot think of any specifically but they really have blended into the tapestry for me. Just think of "happy hour" or "best rate cell phone" or "Sale! Sale! Sale!"
