Losing healthcare and money at the same time is a big problem, how can we dig ourselves out of the hole that our city leaders have put us in. We need solutions to bring Lakewood back to what it once was, the City of Lakewood has been put at a disadvantage compared to other cities because of the actions taken against us.

Next will be a levy for the schools and after that, a city tax increase. I don't see any way to make up for the revenue loss from the hospital, especially since council let CCF out of their lease instead of making them pay for the full term which was until 2026. The best way to show our disgust is to say no to future tax increases. IMO

Our school board is OUT OF CONTROL!
Vote no to any future levies. The taxpaying citizens of Lakewood are not the school board's ATM. Enough is enough. Rein in expenses. Live within a budget like we all have to do.

James,
No worries. Tom Bullock is leading us, Pam Smith, David Stein, Dru Siley, Mayor Summers to a Google and Apple "like" futuristic Lakewood.
Like Mike Summers, Donald Trump & Tom Bullock have said: "Its gonna be Great! We're gonna be Great!" (My apologies to Donald Trump)
I can't wat to see the new CCF build blow us away into the future.
From Bullock's emails with Stein, Smith, Siley & Summers:
" As the mayor has heard me argue repeatedly to the LHA Trustees, in my view it is
of first tier importance, equal to the medical services themselves, that any new Clinic
building be not only high quality, but distinctive, unique, and architecturally convey
the innovation that the proposed plan aims to achieve. Both Google and Apple, in
building new corporate headquarters, deigned buildings that in both form and
function embody the innovative, inventive culture each organization embodies. If
such a building design costs more, my response is, it's worth it, since we are
contemplating an investment that will last for decades at the heart of Lakewood's
downtown. The right kind of anchor, landmark building and design (which itself is
home to cutting edge health management practices) could generate excitement and
multiply redevelopment value of nearby acreage."

Does this mean City Hall will start selling "Make Lakewood Great Again" caps?

Perhaps. But to pay for them, they may have to ask Toby Cosgrove for some of the LHA charitable money they gave away to CCF.

I can imagine the amount of civic pride reflected in the eyes of a heart attack or stroke victim as EMS speeds them past the new (Tom Bullock envisioned) Clinic building. Hopefully there would be time to reflect on the imperative " that any new Clinic building be not only high quality, but distinctive, unique, and architecturally convey the innovation that the proposed plan aims to achieve."
After all, even when your clinging to life and racing to a hospital, not in Lakewood, you can still take a moment to appreciate that " the right kind of anchor...could generate excitement and multiply redevelopment value of nearby acreage."
aah! mr. bullock, you're an inspiration.
