The Flower/Fairy House on Lakewood Heights Blvd

I always thought that was still Lakewood, but it seems its Cleveland. But in any case, my family loves passing this house on the way to La Plaza or the Berea road shortcut to Home Depot. So sad that people want to tear down people who take such pride in their home.

Todd, you have GOT TO BE KIDDING . . this house is such an eyesore. If you enjoy it so much, perhaps you can make an offer to the neighbor across the street to buy their house so that you can see it every day, not just on your way to La Plaza.

Amy, I suppose this cruel world has pummelled every ounce of innocence from your mind and body to be repelled by something that seems so full of whimsy and magic. Do you also hate the tree trunk carving on the other end of lakewood south of the highway? This is so much better than having neighbors with lawns that haven't been cut in a month.
Todd, you have GOT TO BE KIDDING . . this house is such an eyesore.

not just on your way to La Plaza.
What you don't realize is that I'm in La Plaza multiple times every week, haha (chips and salsa addict). I travel that road almost every day. And no, I'm not going to buy any of those little shack houses. Did the prospective buyers all tell them that they didn't want their house because of the terrible eye sore across the street or is that just what they have decided on their own?

Amy is entitled to her own opinion. I don't think we have to start being nasty and insultive just so we can start another on line argument. Come on people. Please be respectful of others and grow up!

Apparently - and thankfully - there are no ordinances on the books in Cleveland that legislate "decor."

If the situation at hand was causing imminent danger to the general public, there might be a case against this home owner.

I think this councilman will have a hard time appeasing the cowardly unidentified neighbor who says, "something has to got to be done" because she "is sick of it."

Perhaps the other neighbors should be cited for lack of decor by the "Style Police?"

And for those who are going to ask: "Would you want this next your house?" I say: "It's not my business to tell someone how to decorate their home. That's like someone telling me I can grow sunflowers and pansies and tulip and painted ferns and have pink flamingos in my front yard, but I can't plant roses nor daffodils nor variegated hostas and can't place garden gnome statues there."

At least I didn't suggest she must be kidding in capital letters or that she needs to buy the house, Lori. I don't think my reply was nasty at all.

What bothers me is lawns that do not have weeds ( harmful chemicals ).

the troll is back
You are the only person on this board that refers to me as a troll and initially you did so out of ignorance because there is another person named Todd who said some nasty things to you. You'd think someone with a name as common as Amy would not make that mistake.

Anyway, so you come to my post, use internet "shouting" protocol to tell me that my opinion is not even believable and then that I should buy the house next door if I like it so much (is this like the equivalent of the grade school joke "if you like *some inanimate object* so much why don't you marry it?") and then call me a troll.

I think it's obvious to everyone who the troll is.
