As parents arrived at Emerson Public School to pick up their children, they were able to see Lakewood Fire Department cleaning up from a call that went out at 1:42pm for a fire at the rear of the structure at 13446 Clifton Blvd. By the time the fire department got there, the flames were outside the structure and the heat melted the aluminum siding off of the structure just west of it.
No one was injured, and the fire was out and clean-up begun by 2:30pm.
