Primary results from Lakewood are now available for both the Democratic and GOP races.
9,846 people voted in the Democratic race.
Unlike the state or county, Bernie won Lakewood by a strong 55-45 margin, his strongest performance in any Cuyahoga town. His supporters canvassed Lakewood multiple times, which helped.
5,624 GOP votes were cast: Kasich had 62 percent of the vote, Trump 27.
Lakewood preferred Kasich more than the state overall, which went 47-36 Kasich over Trump.
Among the "also rans", Cruz dominated with 415 votes, while the now-defunct Rubio campaign got 180.
Martin O'Malley, who quit weeks ago, still got 29 votes. Perhaps some Lakewood voters instinctively go for the most Irish name.
