So when Summers decided on his own back in 2011 that he didn't want a hospital in Lakewood, he had LHA hire a consulting firm that didn't believe in hospitals.
After leading the charge in the demolition of our hospital in a sham process for %500K in fees, Subsidium no longer exists either.
That was fast failure even for a "healthcare consultant"--Subsidium was only created in May, 2011,

Hmmmm
Huh?

Wow! Summers did not make this decision on his own. Council knew about this too. People need to quit excusing the council. None of them voted to keep the hospital open did they? It appears that Fitzgerald and Budish had a part in all of this too. It makes you wonder about the possibility that this firm could have been a scam all along.

Just because the company appears to have gone out of business, any prior employee that worked on that report still would have to give a deposition or testify if called upon. I believe refusing would be contempt of court. Maybe they should be called on to testify. If there is any wrong doing, would any of these people go to jail to cover up anything?

Makes you wonder about the possibility of Judge O'donnell being involved. I have posted some interesting articles about him here on the Deck. You all should read them.

If Subsidium was so good, why didn't they "forecast" their own demise?
When I was kid in Cleveland one of those "Psychic Shops" on Lorain Avenue burned down.
We all joked "Why didn't they know the fire would happen?"

Is it possible the company was made up just for the hospital deal? Did they think they would would not have to testify in court because the company went under? I believe that this hospital deal is starting to smell foul!

You can't write this stuff, people would find it too fictional.

I hate to disappoint anyone, but there's no conspiracy. Subsidium Healthcare was acquired in 2015 by Schumacher Clinical Partners and now operates its consulting service. How do I know? I went to Schumacher's contact us page and posted the question, what's the relationship between Schumacher and Subsidium? Less than :30 minutes later, Schumacher's Cheryl Atwood called with the answer.

So the fact remains that Subsidium no longer exists.

Jim:
Who tipped you off to go to the Subsidium/Shumacher site?

Tom: Brian Essi gave me the tip. It's in his post that started this thread. What's missing from Brian's post is the truth about Subsidium Healthcare, as it was founded in 2001 and not 2011, and that the consulting service was acquired by Schumacher when Subsidium's founder Rich D'Amaro was appointed CEO of Schumacher. Without these facts, everything becomes suspicious, which might explain why this thread was started with another set of convenient omissions by Brian. You can read for yourself:

Jim,
Why do you always bring up "conspiracy" when we are all trying to move forward and concentrating on hard facts.
Fact: Summers/LHA hired a newly formed "consulting" firm that advises folks to close hospitals and had no license or experience is the sale or restructuring of hospitals.
Fact: Subsidium (or Huron) were not hired to look at past and current practice problems at the hospital.
Fact: The "consulting" firm did not give any advice as to how to turn around the existing operations, i.e. get rid of the insider's club trustees and redirect management by following the agreements in place---it admitted it did not understand the agreements.
How can a "consultant" advise on where to go when you don't know where you have been and how you got there?
There is no about it, this was a sham process.

Brian: Forgive me, but you can't invent the facts you like.
Fact: Subsidium was founded in 2001. Link citing this fact that you've ignored can be found in my earlier post.
Fact: Sudsidium and Huron weren’t hired to perform many services, which makes your FACT an observation. The only FACT is what they were hired to do, which is evaluate how Lakewood fits into a the modern healthcare marketplace today.
Fact: These consulting firms didn’t propose or recommend what you wanted.
And there is doubt, you’ve fostered it and others have gladly bought it.

Subsidium is a party to the lawsuit against Cleveland Clinic, LHA, and the city over the hospital closure.
How will this affect their culpability and/or the ability of the plaintiff to obtain redress against Subsidium? Does their dissolution protect them from this action?
If it does, was this done to avoid a liability?
