TODAY:
By wearing red today you are taking the first step in building awareness about this number one killer of women. But there's even more you can do:
1. Raise awareness on social media by turning your profile pictures red. https://twibbon.com/Support/go-red-wear-red
2. Share how you rock the red by using the hashtag #GoRedWearRed.
3. Give to Go Red For Women® and stand with others to end heart disease and stroke in women. https://www.goredforwomen.org/wearredday-donate/
TOMORROW
Lakewood elementary schools will join together on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 to raise money for the American Heart Association. Fourth- and fifth-graders from District elementary schools will be jumping at the annual Jump Rope For Heart event. Students, parents, teachers and community members gather for a morning of “fun”raising using jump ropes to fight heart disease, which is the leading killer in America.
The event, from 9-11 a.m. at Harding Middle School, is sponsored by the Lakewood Fraternal Order of Police and University Hospital.
