BE AWARE - Possible Attempted Child Enticement

Yesterday around 9:00 A.M., a child reported that she was walking to school when a white male who was roughly eighteen years old wearing blue pants approached her and asked her if she wanted to "hang out". The child told the male "no" and ran home to her mom who called police. Reportedly, the male then walked away westbound on Madison. This occurred near Taco Tonto's at 13321 Madison, between Waterbury & Chesterland.
This child was smart and handled this situation well. However, it is important that the community is informed about incidents like this so they can remind their children about "stranger danger". I have yet to see a press release from City Hall or a sketch released. Hopefully, we will see that in the coming days. Perhaps the schools should also send home a bulletin to parents.
Finally, before I am blasted for my choice of title, please take a moment to review http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2905.05. What this male did appears to be a crime.
