Thanks.
I think that is both good and bad.
I think it is good to have a blank slate, but bad not to have expectations.
It is good that they are familiar with the past Deck, but bad that they are not given direction or expectations from the leader of the company/Project.
If the Deck is not able to be moderated now, how was it moderated before? That info could help the new Board.
It is telling that you had to ask them if they are willing to speak with one another, that is bad that you had to even pose the question.
I hope it works out for the best.

As you know full well, things don't always go according to plans.
People think some have some form of control over this? There is none. People came in from BL and other places thinking they would be shut down and deleted, nope.
The secret here is "sustainable" and that gets into where you put the resources you have.
I really do not want to give the new board any input, and let them work through this on their own.
But the real question, and the one we ran into every time we do this
I think it is the third time. Who is in charge of moderating, and who does it 24 hours a day.
OR
We make people use real names, and be accountable for what we say, while letting it define who we are and represent.
At the end of the day, we do want people to listen to what we are saying, and the BS does no one any good, except to define who we are.
But that has to be offset with what I will call the "Sharon Kinsella LIE" "If Sharon Kinsella stopped posting I would come on..." Well Sharon though feisty, and a times a real B**** used her real name and backed up what she said. Sharon due to health and other reasons has stopped posting, not one person that ever used her as an excuse has ever signed on to post. So Corey you are a perfect person to ask this to. Do we care more about chasing maybes, retaining users, or just being here for people?
This city, many people on the Deck and elsewhere should worry more about what they say or don't say instead of what others are saying.
If you do not like it, ignore it.

LET's PICK ON BRIAN ESSI, he can take it.
If I hear one more time, "Well Brian had his facts right, but the way he says it..." I am going to bust a blood vessel. Really we are going to ignore facts because of personality? Gravitate towards lies, because they are served with sweets? Really.
But, I think one thing we can all agree on, we can all try to do it better in 2016.
