If people in Lakewood don't know the deal by now, then they must not be very smart!

Jenn Pae said she will not participate on the Deck any more, so I'll help her out by posting her reaction to the videos from Nextdoor. This is only a public service, not an endorsement of the statement:

"Brian Essi has continued to spread false information in order to perpetuate his own self-interest, and threats to his wife's medical practice and the legacy of her parents' private practice. Read the master agreement yourself. What you are claiming what you claim Brian Essi is claiming is absolutely false. The only limits are on the current hospital site (5.7 acres on Belle and Detroit), and it only prohibits certain types of inpatient facilities. There could be a medical facility again on that site some time after mid-2018."

By the way, this came from an extremely active and heated discussion of the hospital deal on Nextdoor.

Some of the statements made by the pro-BL'ers in that thread were eye-opening, even to me.

What exactly is Brian Essi's "self-interest" here? I can understand Pae's motivation - she supported her boss because her job was at stake. But what does Essi get for his thousands of hours poring over and analyzing documents, plus countless hours attending meetings and speaking out?

And Ms Pae, (I'm sure you'll be told this post is here,) what is your point in mentioning Mr Essi's wife and her family? Why are they relevant to this discussion? What are the "threats" you refer to? Are you or BL insinuating he or is family is under a threat?

I find this all rather frightening, how personal and emotional that post was.

Jen Pae was scolded by NextDoor for politicizing their website....but rules don't apply to "Team Summers", so she's back (avoiding the Deck, of course).

Has there ever been a City Hall that so freely smears local citizens?

Explains why they put us all in the same "Observer" box, easier to hate everyone. "Oh that Observer is wrong!" I find the same problem with all Facebookers!

It was just a cameo appearance.

A website designed to advertise garage sales and find lost pets has become the refuge for Jen Pae and her pals to badmouth SLH, private citizens, and the Observer.

Jen seems to know a lot about Brian's family. It seems like "Team Summers" has been investigating the private lives of SLH members.

For those of you old enough to remember, that is very reminiscent of Richard Nixon's "enemies' list".
How many others have they looked into?
How long is the list?
I wonder what my "ranking" is.

Why bring his wife into this? AFAIK, she hasn't actively been involved in SLH. She is not posting on the Internet or speaking at public meetings. She should be off- limits.

Again, are they threatening his wife and her employment?
