Hospital Deal Gets First Reading Tonight - Unanimous?

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

The nearly completed hospital deal was shared with Council members.

It is believed that enough advances were made by the Mayor, Kevin Butler and negotiators that it has a chance to go through on 3 readings.

A little more money, better use of Detroit Avenue space seems to be where the advances were made.

The question is, unanimous or not?

After 2 meetings and 1 special meeting, I believe in the end it will be approved.

It will be approved because there aren't the "opposed" votes needed. Not because it's any "better" than the first LOI. They are both terrible and pathetic deals. Besides which, they only vote once and that's not until after the third reading on the 21st.
