With apologies to Dashiell Hammett.
The chief thing is not to let them tire you out. When you catch them in a lie, they evade it and give you another to take its place and when you catch them in that one they evade it and give you still another, and so on.
Most people get discouraged after you've caught them in the third or fourth straight lie and fall back on either the truth or silence, but not Build Lakewood. They keep trying, and you've got to be careful or you'll find yourself believing them, not because they seem to be telling the truth, but simply because you're tired of disbelieving them.
I wonder, is the person that gets tired of disbelieving City Council or the people of Lakewood?
