Summers, Beebe, Einhouse and Litten Want to Raise Your Taxes

It is beyond debate that the election of Summers and his cronies will result in increased taxes.
In the past 2 years, Summers has twice sought tax increases to finance recreation:
In 2013, Summers and his surrogates approached the School Board to join a jointly-managed and separately funded approach to expanding recreation financed with tax increases proposed by Summers.
In February, 2014, Summers approached the School Board again to propose a recreation center at the hospital site to be financed by a tax increase.
While those efforts were temporarily put on hold pending the findings of the Recreation Task Force --headed by Summers’ chief crony Jay Foran-- who in turn has delayed reporting his findings until after the election---findings which are expressly dependent on how much money is promised from the new foundation.
All this backroom recreation and tax increase monkey business has occurred around the time Summers was planning to do away with the hospital. So Summers sought to use hospital funds as supplemental financing for his recreation “plans”. That’s all been documented before—in documents obtained under subpoenas---in a recent LO article, where Summers admitted the recreation center is still being discussed behind closed doors---- his plan is simply on hold until after the election. The dwindling “new foundation” money will not prevent ]tax increases—it was never enough in the first place.
In the face of stiff opposition to his privatization of the hospital money for his secret “plans”, Summers and cronies now claim if we don’t close the hospital, we will have tax increase. But according to Jenn Pae, Summers’ own Finance Director, as recently as September 28, 2015 “The Hospital has always been supported by the revenues generated from operations…. no tax derived revenue sources ever supported the hospital.” Oops—it is no wonder Pae has been redfaced as of late.
So despite his state-controlled propaganda “newspaper” claiming SLH wants to “DOOM” the hospital, it is Summers who is hell-bent on destroying it to get the land and money he needs to do his dirty deed. If he is “successful”, it will surely result in the loss of $2 million in taxes and rent, $7 million in charity and a supermajority of $280 million in annual economic impact for the City that Lakewood Hospital provides.
Beebe signed a June 1, 2015 letter to City Council praising the LOI, she is a founding member of “Build Lakewood” and she joined in a police report threatening criminal charges to quell free speech exposing the City to claims and liability for violations of Civil Rights. ” She has part of an the old guard that has stagnated the City’s growth.
Einhouse signed a June 1, 2015 letter to City Council praising the LOI and has joined in the state-controlled propaganda “newspaper”—this exposes him as among Summers’ “inner circle” suck ups chasing carrot---after all his livelihood and that of his wife are dependent on public and foundation money for survival.
Litten has hidden from his vote and ongoing complicity as an LHA trustee pushing demolition of the hospital, and has joined in state controlled propaganda “newspaper”. Litton is also employed in the non-profit world.
So Summers, Beebe, Einhouse and Litten have all signed on to a plan that will clearly result in increasing taxes, i.e. using other people’s money to advance their causes. Their collective accusations that Skindell and SLH want to raise your taxes is a classic tactic of misdirection used in all political campaigns---accuse the other guys of doing exactly what you are doing to distract the public from the truth about what they are actually up to.
