In recent weeks we've seen a few Build Lakewood supporters come to the Deck for the sole purpose of declaring themselves "victims" of "bullying".

The claims of "victimization" are laughable, and hide a great deal of bullying being done by Build Lakewood's and its allies.

Here is letter that was delivered to Atkins printing.
It is a boycott threat for having a "Save Lakewood Hospital" sign in their window.
Notice how it mirrors City Hall/BL talking points.



As is often their tactic, the letter is unsigned and has no return address.
This "boycott" strategy is designed to control the public discussion, a cornerstone of Team Summers.

Build Lakewood supporters love to complain about what it calls "nastiness". That talking point was started by Mary Louise Madigan last spring,

What exactly is a "bitter ex-wives club"?
Moran sure sounds like a bully to me.
I posted a screenshot of it on the BL FB page, and not a single member bothered to condemn this rhetoric.
In fact, you will notice that Summers campaign operative Todd Heckler seconded Moran's opinion.

I'm sure BL will try to dismiss these as "isolated incidents", but there are plenty more examples of similar tactics.

Mike, you do realize that it is entirely possible that someone not in BL or SLH wrote this? Right? And if someone from SLH did write this, then wouldn't make sense to use some of the reoccurring language that BL uses? This is 5th grade stuff here buddy. Please tell me you're not that gullible.

Not long ago another Summers enthusiast stopped by the SLH Facebook page telling an unsubstantiated story about someone allegedly yelling at them outside a car window.
This person was quick to point the finger at SLH, as you can see in this screenshot:

I remember in high school I used to write my name on the desk. I would get called down to the principal's office and then argue that I am not dumb enough to sign my own name, that would be vandalism - I must have been set up. Worked every time. Ahhh, sweet memories.

I think the difference might be that she was witness to it personally. Are you saying Mike that you were a witness to someone dropping off this letter? Who was it that dropped off this letter Mike? Maybe next time you see them drop a letter you can ask them to sign it?

You're so easy to roil, Mike. I'm no more guilty of bullying than your beloved dog. The letter to Adkins Printing, yes it's Adkins not Atkins, is indefensible. I agree completely, it's the work of a spineless coward. Boycotting a business because of their political leanings is ridiculous—not to mention leaving a threatening letter without a name. Judging by the way it's worded, I wouldn't be surprised to see more pop up around town.

However, attempting to assign blame to every Build Lakewood supporter (as you so often do) is equally ridiculous. Everyone has an opinion and a right to express that opinion. As I'm sure you're aware, I regularly express my disappointment with the grammatical inequities and sycophantic behavior that plague so many of your supporters. And rightfully so. A person's critical thoughts are difficult to accept when they stumble on simple things like spelling, or the tense of a verb. You may find them inconsequential, I don't. I see them as small, reliable indicators of intellectual capacity. I'm not implying that everyone that supports SLH is an idiot. Not at all. Your hearts are in the right place. But I certainly don't think Hospital Administration and City Planning are issues your group are capable of tackling. Those are best left to elected officials to navigate.

I'd like to point a few things out. I originally posted this picture on Facebook and apparently I need to explain how the posting came about.
My husband works for Adkins Printing. He told me about this letter when they first received it, a week ago. The owner kinda laughed it off because he thought the whole thing was ridiculous. He even went so far as to make a copy and tape it to the front counter. But here's the thing. The owner has no skin in this game. He was asked to put the sign in his front window, so he did. When he did printing for Build Lakewood, the sign was there and no one seemed to have a problem with it. The point in posting it was to show how ridiculous it is, not to show support for one side or the other. He isn't pointing fingers at anyone but the person who thought this letter was going to make any difference to him, whoever that person may be.

Exactly as I took it at Roman Fountain Pizza. Backed up with the owner.

I know of a couple mothers that were told they had the wrong sign in their yard.

Signs came down, vote now etched in stone.

People do not like being told what to do or think.
