The Observation Deck

Because of the rain and high winds last night this tree fell down at about 4:30am.

If you wanted to drive up or down Rockway this morning, this was the reason why you could not.

Make sure to stay out of the way of big trees with small roots!

Ah Lakewood....the city of trees...

...right?

Actually, with our clay base generally being only inches below the topsoil, those tree roots around here seem to have very little desire to go deep.

Which is why, when the wind blows,

down the tree goes...

We had a problem above the roots a couple weeks back...
