From where I sit, it looks like they're quite serious.....
There are a couple of Police cruisers on Madison waiting for the tow trucks right now!
Better get out there and move your cars!

Yeah, they can tow cars but I haven't seen a snow plow or salt truck yet.

UGH..I'd sure rather be stuck at home than at work right now!!
The last storm, my street didn't get plowed til 8:00 pm that night. I guess I don't share a street with anybody important.

Keep in mind they do have a entire city of side streets to get to. and the snow is falling very fast. This is just the bricks when living in a lake effect snow area. When the snow gets dumped it gets dumped quick. I am sure the city is doing everything in their power with the resources they have to maintain the roads.
Truth is in these kind of conditions nobody should be on the road anyway.
Now I did not think that one thru when I had to drive to willoughby for work this Morning and I can assure you that none of the other city's I passed through (or ODOT for that matter) have things any more under control.

I was happy that on our narrow street our neighbors heeded the snow parking ban and found other areas to park their cars. And I am happy that the plows came down our street at least 4 times. The problem I have is that they didn't come anywhere near the curb. So where the cars usually park is still filled with snow and now there is barely enough room to drive down our two way street. It's frustrating and I wish the plows would have done their job, I thought that was the whole point of the parking ban. It's too late to do anything now because the cars are parked there again. Oh well I am glad I have a driveway but I hope I don't clip a mirror trying to get down my street.
