What's the story on this? Seems like a pretty big deal that Lakewood suddenly has bounded forward in the realm of traditional entertainment.

Well at least they're trying to do some marketing. The place needs some work but could be good funky.

Lot of potential still there.

I wish they'd show indie-ish films instead, or at least movies that might have a slight chance of being good. They had 4 Christmases there for like a month and now Bride Wars...no thanks!

Oh I have to go see Bride Wars...that looks great.

I have never been to this theater but now that they are showing movies like this I might just make a movie night. Sure beats going to the big one in Independence/Valley View area.

My son saw Bride Wars the other night and said it was the worst movie he ever saw! Wait for DVD! It is nice to see new movies here in Lakewood though! I wanted to see Revoluntionary Road last week and it was only playing at Cedar Lee. I thought how nice to have a Cedar Lee theater here. I know Jim, trying to change Lakewood but some things would be a nice change.

I could be wrong but I don't think "Bride Wars" was necessarily made for the male population...so it would not be suprising to hear a guy say it sucked.

Anyway...good to hear Detroit Theater is trying to do more to make it more popular.

Well my son is a movie buffs and sees the realm from the goriest and scariest to the cheesiest. He saw it with a female friend who also had the same opinion as did the critics, but am curious if you (or anyone) saw it with a different opinion? I am not trying to be negative but I rarely get out to see movies and hate to spend the time and money if it is not good. I guess I am not a risk taker there since I always have to get others' opinions before I go to a movie!

The two times we've been there in the past month or so (to see 'Bolt' and 'Hotel for Dogs') there have been a total of 6 other people in the theater with us.

Even with this change, it's hard to see how they're making ends meet.

That's shocking! They may have to do some marketing techniques like other theaters will deals for traditionally slower days or coupons or something to get people there. I wouldn't want to lose them.

Their prices are already the lowest of any first-run movie theater in NE Ohio. If you buy the large popcorn/soda combo (with free refills), you also get a coupon for one free admission your next time there.
