Tip of the hat to Lakewood Fire Department

Last night a call went out for a fire at the Westerly. It was feared that they might have to evacuate this senior living center that could have been deadly for some that live there.
However the fire department responded quickly, and while dealing with freezing water and pipes able to keep it contained to one or two units, and it did not have to be emptied.
Whew!
Sadly, there was one death by smoke inhalation of the man whose apartment the fire started in.
