I don't know about all the side streets but I tried to leave twenty minutes ago and the black ice was HORRID! There are cars stuck on the street that can't get up the street and are sliding! Be careful if you are out!

Thanks! I was about to go to Target to pick up a new set of headphones.

It is not worth it from what I saw! I don't know if Clarence is worse since it is on a hill but it was/is really bad and watching cars from my porch was nerve wrecking! I hope salt hits the side streets! Stay home Stephen!

I agree - its bad out.
I was driving down Wooster near Center Ridge at about 7:20 and three cars hit each other and one was pushed into the concrete wall by Wooster School. It was a mess but at least it didn't appear there were serious injuries.
Once I got into Lakewood, I saw about 4 trucks salting Hilliard, Riverside, and West Clifton.

hmm wine sounds good. If there is a snow day tomorrow I won't have to get up early! Seriously even walking on the street with tennies was hard! That is sad about the cars. I watched one car not slowing down while another was stuck and held my breath until he slowed and slipped and was able to stop. It is the idiots out there, like the one trying to pass the one stuck car! yikes!

There are cars still getting stuck and slipping and almost hitting parked cars or each other on our street. Is there anything we can do?

I was just out at Lakewood's Photography Club, half a block from my home, and just got in the door.
Took me 3 tries to get up my driveway, and it's only on a very shallow rise.
Stay in.
This kind of ice is deadly. I slipped on it in '05, was knocked out, and ended up in the hospital.
I feel most fortunate to be here, breathing.
Stay in.

Wow, very icy out. We had to take a movie back to the redbox and slid almost all the way down Robinwood. I almost bit it about 15 times trying to walk in and out of the house. I hate ice.

I was driving down Chesterland between Franklin and Detroit when I started sliding down the street. It was bizzare, because a half an hour before the streets were fine.

Got home a little while ago from a short trip down Madison. Side streets were being salted. They are also putting extra salt at intersections for those idiots who think they can go from 35 to 0 in 20 feet.
