Photo of Brian Simko, designer for the Lakewood Observer.
We have lost the services of Brian Simko, as he is moving
to Littleton, Colorado.
Brian has been the lead designer on the paper version of the Lakewood Observer for the past 3 years.
Brian moved to Lakewood from North Olmsted after taking the job, it was one of the caveats we demanded. After moving here, he feel in Lakewood with his current wife Jeanette, and her son Sam.
Right after the wedding, it was decided that Brian and family would move to Colorado where he could pursue his career as a sculptor, something he is amazingly good at.
Brian will also be taking us up on our offer to start an Observer in Colorado once he gets situated, and settled in.
Brian good luck and much love from everyone here.

Brian is a great guy and I'm sad I won't be greeted by him when I stop by the LO office.
But I hope this end at the LO brings a great new beginning for the Simko's. He's always got a place to call home here in Lakewood if he needs it!

Brian has been a tremendous asset to the Observer Project, and a great friend to anyone who has walked into the office with a question or a need.
Best wishes always to you and yours in your new life, Brian!

Brian has showed all of us the unique combination of being rock solid and sensible combined with a rare creativity.
Brian-- if you are reading this, please note that I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the sculptor, Henry Moore. May you have the chance to strive for that.
Best of luck to you and your family. I for one will miss you friend!!!!

I will also chime in to that Brian for his patience, kindness, and good humor - not to mention everything else.
Brian had the unenviable job of answering the phone all day while attempting to actually do something and that is an impossibility.
Many thank for all your good work and I hope everything is great in Colorado!

Brian relaxing at bela dubby.
Proving once again that Lakewood in the center of the universe.
Brian was suggested by Jill Timeski, as a good sculptor, that could
learn how to lay out a paper. During the interview I found out he
was the son of my dentist.
I mentioned during the interview that I was looking first at Lakewood
residents, and he said he would love to move back to Lakewood,
having lived here before, in a house I had rented decades ago.
At our first meeting at bela dubby he ran into Jill Crino(from Vermont
originally). Both had attended Kent State University for art and design,
in what both said was a good friend relationship.
Lakewood, center of the universe?
Maybe.
