Kenneth Warren, retiring in July, led the Lakewood Public Library through many changes, including a recent heavy renovation of the main library.

LAKEWOOD -- Lakewood's top librarian is stepping down, after outlasting his crosstown rival.

Kenneth Warren will retire next July, nearly a year after Stephen Wood ended a somewhat parallel career in a somewhat parallel suburb, Cleveland Heights...

Good article, yet it only skims the surface of the contributions that Ken has made to the community. It should be noted that he often served as a great source of knowledge/advice/input for local public officials.

It was a good piece, no article could ever do Ken Warren justice, we both know that. No only did he give advice to local politicians, officials, whoever. He gave it equally and freely. Not one story to one and another story to the other. More like an oracle, ask the question, get the answer, and then the other answer.

One thing I have always enjoyed watching with Mr. Warren was the complete story, the discussion. You would ask a question, he would answer then suggest a book to give you better insight. Then he would suggest the book that would best argue the other side. That way in the end, you had a better understanding of how the answers applied to you, the community, and the whole. It is very impressive, considering as long as I have known him, he has done that.

I feel privileged calling him a friend and adviser. My life is richer just for knowing him.
