Parent Advocates for Lakewood Students

I have been reading the concerns so many of you have regarding our Lakewood schools. Now more than ever citizens need to have their voices heard by our elected school board on issues ranging from hiring a new superintendent, to closing another school, to appointing a new school board member within the next 30 days, and even on our climbing class sizes.
PALS, a grassroots group now forming, offer parents AND ALL citizens (you don't have to have kids currently attending a Lakewood school) a forum to voice their concerns as well as receive important information about the board & schools. Our goal is to improve communication between the board and the community, provide oversight, and help parents/community navigate through the system when they have an issue.
Thursday night (December 4th) we will be meeting at the Lakewood Library, Main Branch Auditorium, from 7pm-8:30pm. All citizens are welcome so feel free to bring a friend or two. Free coffee (donated by Caribou) and cookies. Contact palsgroup@rocketmail.com to get on our email list or if you want additional information.
