My foster dog just gave birth to her first puppy, a little boy. I had to share it with you guys. I am so proud of myself for not freaking out, blood and stuff scares me, but I am hanging in.
In light of all the "bickering" we have been going thru, all the "bickering" the city has been thru, this is just an amazing moment. There is hope, there is a new and better day ahead. There is "life" out there, something that should just be cherished. (Ok I am sappy now!!!)

Congratulations!
Post a photo of the new pups.
As for the bickering, it is what a family and community does.
You can tell the health of the community, and the family by how
quickly they can all move on, and even work together.
From what I know, we have a healthy community.

We finished with 6 total. The last puppy was another black and white one, a girl. 4 boys, 2 girls. And Pumpkin (my toddler named the momma) is amazing.
We have no idea what the father is. Pumpkin was a stray dog that was dumped in a pound on Halloween night. When she came here, she was covered in fleas to the point that I didnt know she had no blac/brown on her. We cleaned her up, got her to the vet, and she has been a sweetheart since. Thankfully she is heartworm negative, however she is anemic from all the fleas.
As the pups grow, I will be taking pictures, and I will keep everyone up to date.
What a way to celebrate the rescue's 1 year anniversary.

Missy,
You are renewing some very intense memories for me. We gave some friends' dog a home and eight days later, she gave us puppies. We didn't know she was pregnant and neither did her vet - until we saw the x-rays.
We brought her home and were discussing what to do, when the first pup was born under Bill's desk.
What an experience!
Enjoy those puppies, and here's hoping for good homes for all.
