We Lost Another Good One - Frank Murtaugh

Our friend - and Lakewood's friend, Frank Murtaugh has passed away.
Frank was involved in many aspects of Lakewood life and was one of the driving forces behind the Veterans Memorial in Lakewood - and other veteran's issues and concerns. Frank was a Marine and a Vietnam vet. He had been the Master of Ceremonies at this year's Memorial Day program.
Active in politics, Frank recently has been a member of the Zoning Commission. He was a CERT member - one of the first group trained in 2005. Frank had run for city council and was a frequent speaker before that body. He was a precinct committee person for ward 2(a) for the Democratic party.
Frank had a quiet demeanor and a questioning nature, although some of his questioning skills were honed by his experience and training as a lawyer. He spoke up - wherever he was - to try and bring clarity and thought to any situation. Frank also had a great sense of humor, which added to any interaction with him.
Frank Murtaugh will be sorely missed.
