A Celebration of Arts & Communication Education

Last night was the kick-off of the Westshore School Districts much heralded arts and communication programs. In collaboration with the Beck Center. The Lakewood and Westlake/Bay Village Observer is proud to support and be a part of this program.

A wonderful time was shared by all that turned out. The Arts, Music, Theater, Communications, and Food, were all very good. But the future of Arts Education on the Westshore was the star of the evening.

Warming up the crowd was Lakewood High's Viva LaFour. Seen here catching a wave with a nice rendition of Barbara Ann.

President and CEO of the Beck Center, Cindy Einhouse kicks off the program. While the Superintendent of Lakewood Schools Dr. David Estrop waits to talk about the future of arts education on the Westshore.

"Behind The Scenes Of Urinetown" was part of a demonstration by Scott Spence and the cast of Urine Town, on what "art" brings to the theater. In the demonstration, they performed on a bare stage, then added sets, then costumes, then lights, and then music.
