Gave the place a try tonight (it's now open). While it's not going to shake my affection for Angelo's and Danny Boy's, it's quite good otherwise, clearly head and shoulders above the national chains and some other local pizza places. It's also pretty cheap; we got a large two-topping pizza, which was $11.75. Sauce was very good, though the sausage was rather mild. But all in all, it's a good place for a quick and cheap pizza fix (even more so if you live right down the street like I do).

228-2900 ... give it a try, and welcome 'em to the 'Wood.

I had pizza and wings from Nunzio's for the Browns' game Thursday. The wings were just so-so (pizza places never do wings well) but I agree with you that the pizza was good. Not overly greasy like you might expect from a less-expensive place. I must say, however, that my large 1-topping was $12.75.

Incidentally, I asked, and they do NOT sell by the slice. Why, I don't understand. They are open until 3:30 am anyway... keep a large cheese and a large pepperoni warm, sell them to the bar crowd for $2/slice... seems like a no-brainer where they are located.
