beer bottle exit

Just wanted to know if everyone who exits 90 EB at Warren Road enjoys the beer bottles that line the exit ramp. They have been there for at least one month. Probably going on the better part of two. It appears they have been adhered to something upon the wood posts. Regardless, the city really needs to clean this up. Unless, of course, this is the image we want people to see of Lakewood. I know there are a alot of bars in town!
I have emailed the streets department on this issue, as well as the Mayors office. I would clean them up, but I really don't think it would be safe for me to be hanging out along an exit ramp.

Patty,

Is this exit on the southside or the northside? If you are talking about the Warren Road exit coming from Rocky River you would be in Cleveland, but if you are talking about the Warren Road exit coming from Cleveland that would be Lakewood. Anyhow I agree the exit ramps are gross and it would be nice to see them cleaned up.

I noticed those! It's coming from the west. It seems like an odd location for such a thing... must be someone that lives near there. On the Cleveland side, no doubt.

Wow, those are still there???

I saw those, like, a month ago. What, did someone super-glue them in place?

It wasn't long ago there was a thread on the LO deck discussing having the city/Chamber, etc. putting signs or markers near the off-ramps to drive traffic to Lakewood restaurants/bars. Given the number of liquor licenses in this city, it seems somewhat appropriate that the beer bottles are there!

I am putting a plastic bag in my car. I will try to pick them up this weekend.

I guess it must be in Cleveland. However, I have notified our city, and I would hope they would notify Cleveland, or just pick them up. Be careful if you do try and pick up the bottles. A busy exit ramp for sure.

If it is on the exit ramp, it is ODOT's responsibility. Call the District 12 office at 216.581-2100. Please don't risk your personal safety stopping on the ramp to clean it up.

Wanted to thank everyone for their input on this one. I ended up calling ODOT. I believe it was ODOT that cleaned up the beer bottle mess! Thanks so much!!
