Small business development help in Lakewood?

I'm not sure if this the right place to ask, but I thought I'd give it a try. Does Lakewood have any incentives for small business owners who are looking to relocate from another city to Lakewood? I know someone who is seriously considering Lakewood, and I told her I would check out what Lakewood had to lure new businesses here (grants, small business loans, etc...).
Any help would be appreciated!

They could call the city or the Chamber, and the Lakewood Observer.
I would love to talk to the person, show them around and tell them how they can make Lakewood a home for their business.

I would encourage you to tell your friend to call Planning Director Nate Kelly and set up a meeting.

In order to fill vacant store fronts the city has the "seed" program run by Nate Kelly. Have your friend give Nate a call for the specifics.

I would like to start a hole in the wall store that sells mostly only sacks of potatoes, corn meal, onions, and vegetable oil. It might make a good tax shelter. I have no extra income to shelter though. There is this boutique tea shop I see that appears to never be open....
