Bob Starks planned warehouse district development will include "public" financing", AKA your tax dollars:

Why is it that Lakewood is forced to finance development in the warehouse district and Garfield Heights?

One of the reasons business like JC Penny or Trader Joes won't locate in Lakewood is that they already have our business. One of the biggest zip codes for Crocker Parks Trader Joe's is 44107. Why should they come to us when we go to them?

How can the Gold Coast compete with taxpayer subsidized development downtown?

Why can't Lakewood get subsidies from the Port Authority?

How can Garfield Heights succeed in getting millions in State dollars for development but Lakewood get's nothing?

Is anyone else tired of being this regions cash cow?

Apparently not since we seem to love shopping at Trader Joe's. I have to wonder how long that will continue with $4/gallon in gas and continually higher food prices. Nature's Bin and Heinen's really needs to get out there and advertise the fact they have tons of great food and you don't have to drive 20 minutes to get it.
