My 12 year old son just got laid off from his Sun newspaper delivery job. Nothing like getting a pink slip in the mail at such an early age. Boy is he bummed!
I guess the Plain Dealer is taking over delivery.

Have him stop by the office we are starting home delivery and he will get a raise!
Teach him, every time a door closes another one opens.
He can get almost any route he wants right now.

Dee,
So did my daughter. She has been doing it for just over two years. She really enjoyed it. She also is bummed. She has been doing this and put just about all of her money in the bank with plans of purchasing a car when she turns 16. Right now she is only 12.
Kinda sucks that they don't make very many chances for young children to earn an honest buck.

We are pushing home delivery, this is a for pay job.
I have sat down with a couple other letter carriers, and worked out a
idea that really seems to fill the very gap you are speaking of.
If you or anyone is interested, please contact me through email. We are trying to get everything in order for a proper launch.
