My wife spoke to someone across the river who said there is indeed a house sliding down the hill.Who knows.Mike Coleman wrote:Isn't this the optical illusion house? From the Clifton Bridge, it looks like it's falling, but it's really just an odd roofline.
That's a good idea, or maybe, Jim, you could just go into each house and stand in the east most facing portion of the house and report back on which one falls? Just trying to think of ways to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of this...john crino wrote:My wife spoke to someone across the river who said there is indeed a house sliding down the hill.Who knows.
Jim, can you go out and look again until you find it? Thanks. Even if it takes all nite.

Tonight we went over to the Rocky River Cliff side of the river and started to chart and measure each house. As we(both of us) did not get there until it was dark, it made it hard. Another problem was we did not realize that the RULE/SCALE we used was not a true 12" long, it was closer to 11 15/16ths!
Each house was placed on a cut-away of the cliff and logged in with measurements from the top of the cliff, to the mouth of the river. Although we are dedicated to going back and charting more homes every night, we have noticed three which are suspicious.

A multi-million dollar house that was just built hanging over the cliff. We thought with enough "secret" energy this could move enough in the next twenty years to will it to fall all the way over.

Another multi-million dollar house that appears from some angles to have have fallen already. When we went below, it was realized it had not fallen but was merely a strange optical illusion from above. Maybe even from the bridge.

Could this be it, and already had fallen under the bridge? We gathered some organic matter from nearby, and hopefully will try to carbon date it later  After measuring the distance from the top of the hill, and figuring out how high the bridge was by dropping the ruler, er RULE/SCALE and timing it, we decided that either this was not the house, or that some wacko Italian had too much Chianti.
Will post more tomorrow until we find it.
