Looks like Google Maps has most streets in Lakewood available for their "Street View" feature. Check your street out at maps.google.com

Jim - definitely creepy!
Wonder what Google Maps has planned as the next "improvement". Google Maps InsideHouse?

This must have been done last summer. Beach Ave. was being repaved at the time of the photos so isn't included.

Okay... that is weird.
I was wondering why they don't have any people in the pictures and why there are no pictures of recycling bags in ANY of the pictures of Lakewood (I've looked). How are the images taken? How do they make sure there are no people? How do they make the people go away?
"Our" picture is from some morning in July-August 2007.
I can think of many wonderful uses for this, but it's still WAY creepy.
- I take it back. I'm walking to the library and I have seen two people...

I finally do see trash bags, lawn refuse bags, etc. - and people!
This is totally addictive...

Darn, they don't have my street!
though perhaps it's a good thing ... I'm still working on painting the front porch, so it's hardly as attractive as I'd like it to be.

They have my street. It's recent too. When I go down the street then turn West at the corner, I see my wife and daughter walking our dogs! No kidding!

If you notice they have LHS with the football field being redone. Then Harding Middle School is also not finished. In the picture the old building is still up. That should give you a rough estimate on the time frame of when the pictures were taken.

correct. It also looks like there's someone playing on the baseball field?
This is probably around June, July.
Rick, our trash can is out too.
this is really cool, yet really creepy too.
