Right. Also keep in mind that people whit more than one cell phone are up to no good and should be turned in to the police. Because only they are able to really tell you are using both cell phones for evil.

Now. back on point. Rick it is a pretty sad sign of the time when people have to resort to stealing copper pipe to make ends meet. I have buddy who is a master plumber and he tells me that he no longer installs copper unless it is absolutely necessary. I think the problem really needs to be addressed at the scrap yards. When someone is turning in an excessive amount of copper piping it is probley not from extra on the job site. I have been to enough scrap yards to know that the people paying for this pipe are not the most stand up of citizens. (although there is something to be said for the fact the have a job)
They to are looking to make a quick buck in the craptastik economy. That is where we need a larger police \ investigative presence.

It meains that if someone is desparate enough to steal copper plumbing - leave them alone. Have you ever been hungry?

Seriously?

So if I rob someone you should just let me do it because I might be hungry? If I take someone hostage and demand money, should the police just drop off a chest of cash and be on their way because I might be hungry?

Maybe I'm missing something but there are far better ways to help those who are hungry than to allow them to commit crimes.

WOW - this adds so much credibility to all her other posts.

This site is getting filled with such quality people, I am actually really starting to question my involvement.

WOO Calm down people. It was a joke. refering to this link. A bit off topic

Can we all focus on the problem at hand and not the individual views of posters. That is where the problem lies.

We need to install the shame emoticon

just leave a few sheep guarddogs in the backyard and pay one of the neighbors to feed them once a day.

Ryan

If we were to use sheep instead of sheep guard dogs we would not need the neighbors help to feed them, they will keep the grass short. Now the real problem is we would need many more to make sure the baaaaaaaing is loud enough.

Possible use goats, that could later be harvested for India Garden and LaPita Express?

Rick

Isn't it possible that some of this is related to the bag thread as well. I have tried to stay out of it, but one problem would seem to be letting people know that homes are empty.

You nailed it, with the absentee landlord. IF they replace it! More likely they get feed up and just bad mouth the city again and again and again. Look how people talk of East Cleveland.

Lakewood has many problems, certainly good PR is one of the biggest!

Now if we combine both, sheep, goats, better yards, and petting zoos, we could be on our way to a full recovery. "Lakewood the city of trees, petting zoos, and great mid-eastern food."

FWIW
