Need Suggestions for a Doctor who treats Shingles

Once again I'm asking on behalf of my mother, who may or may not have shingles, for a recommendation for an M.D. from fellow Observers.

The doctor she has gone to isn't sure what this particular rash-like area on her leg is, but if it is shingles, treatment needs to be started within a couple of days. We are not saying this particular doctor isn't good, but my mother had a close friend that had this virus.

If anyone can suggest an MD for her , we'd appreciate suggestions/referrals.

Thanks,
Mark Allan Crnolatas

Mark, Dr. Brill in the new clinic office, R.R. is an excellent doctor. My parents both like him as do my husband and myself. Good luck with your mom, shingles can be very painful.

I had a mild case of shingles a few months back. My doctor is at the Westlake Cleveland Clinic office, Dr. Allan. He's a family medicine doctor, great guy.

Dr. Who is awesome. What was the topic? I will second Dr. Brill recommendation. I moved to him last year when my other doc (a former co-worker of Brill's) left the practice. I have been very happy with him since the move. It is sad they have left Lakewood but parking is easier at the new location by the old ex-Liberty Book store.

Acupuncturists treat shingles as well. A co-worker of mine had a difficult to treat case, and acupuncture worked like a charm.
