Prom 2008

I do not know all the details, but I just wanted to pass along the good news about Prom this year (I have a senior at Lakewood High).

They won the Stand Against Tobacco contest from Prom Raiders. They won $30,000 to pay for their Prom this year! I am so excited for them.

I only know a little of the criteria which was to use the color orange in as many ways possible at school. Also to spread the anit-smoking message. One of the things they did was at the first orchestra concert this fall they used an orange lite back drop and tied orange ribbon on their bows. It looked pretty cool. If anyone knows of other things they did I would like to read about it.
