OK it was easier to move it:

Lakewood mother of three, active PTA member, and employee of Taft Elementary has been struck by cancer and and recently had a brain tumor removed. She is 43. Her good friends have come together to host a fundraiser for this brave family.

Next Friday, January 25th at the Irish Heritage Club, Briscoe Room, 726 Avon Beldon Rd., Avon from 6-11 there will be a Spaghetti Dinner, with a DJ, Chinese Raffle, 50-50 Raffle, and Cash Bar.

For $30 a couple or $40 per family, I implore you to come and support Cheryl Nekl and her family and aid with the mounting medical bills. This is one of us and there for the Grace of God go I.

Look for more details in the next issue of LO, and keep in mind that for the price of dinner, the gift of support is priceless. Very family friendly so bring the kids!

Tickets can be purchased at:
Local Girl Gallery 216-228-1802
16106 Detroit, Lakewood
Cindy Caskey 216-221-1562 Lakewood

The fund raiser last night for local mom Cheryl Nekl sold out to 500 people and many were turned away. What a crowd of positive energy coming out to support this family! Cheryl's friends all pitched in to set up, serve, sell many raffle tickets, solicit donations for raffles, etc., etc., etc.

It was amazing to see the community support. The last thing you should have to worry about while fighting a serious illness is medical bills. And this mom is HUGE in volunteering in the schools so I was thrilled to see that support!

Thank you LO for printing their announcement!

I know. There were some taking pictures that I hope will submit. The food was great, auction items awesome, DJ donated services and all the kids had fun dancing. It was a beautiful hall donated that looked like a wedding reception. It was overwhelmingly full of beauty and it was so incredulous to see different people that you know that know someone in Chery's family in one way or another, playing ball with her husband, teachers and staff from the schools Cheryl had volunteered or worked at, etc. The spider web of connections was powerful. It makes you really think about what is most important in life for sure. And obvious it is as simple as the people you touch. Cheryl and her family have touched a lot.
