Strange sighting

On my commute home today from work, I was heading westbound on Clifton. After passing through the West 117th Street intersection, I noticed a guy standing in the middle of the road, as though he had crossed halfway over, and was waiting for a break in traffic to continue to cross safely.

But no, he wasn't crossing, he was just was standing there ... urinating in the middle of the street, and aiming to hit the cars that were passing him by.

Not something you usually see ...

Oddly enough, a couple of cars behind me was a Cleveland Police car, though it didn't pass through the intersection, but instead turned south on West 117th. So I don't know if they saw this "center line philosopher," or figured he was in Lakewood's jurisdiction, and they should handle the situation, so to speak.

I've often laughed at some of the police blotter entries in the Lakewood Sun, but finally I got to witness one live!

I will have to agree the sometimes the police blotter is just what you need to get the day off to a funny start.

So should that be considered a vote for or against the co-naming of the street to Highland Ave/W117th - W117th/Highland Ave? Some make their mark with an X; ink, pencil, pee whatever you prefer.

what does a man peeing in the middle of the street have to do with highland/w.117th?

The only mark that should be considered is a green sign reading Highland Ave.

this story is something really strange haha. As disgusting as it may be, I find the logic of the man hilarious. When in doubt, stick to the yellow lines.

I am saddened that I missed seeing such a sight. Someone should have pointed out Lakewood's street side urinal program. The first one put in place is at the corner of St. Charles and Detroit. It is handsome and blue. The first few times I walked past, I thought it was an AT&T box.
