Roosevelt Elementary?

Hey everybody,
I'm a bit confused about the Facilities Master Plan for Lakewood City Schools and maybe someone out there can clear this up for me.

On the LHS website they state:
"Phase 3 includes the completion of the work at LHS along with renovations at Grant and Lincoln and the closing of Roosevelt and Franklin Elementaries."

But I've seen in City Council Minutes:
"Phase II 2007-2009 Renovate/replace at LHS, Renovate Emerson to elementary keep gym, Renovate Horace Mann to elementary – keep gym, New Roosevelt Elementary – keep gym"

What is Roosevelt's fate?

The plan was always to downsize from 10 to 7 elementary schools.

Madison and Garfield were to be closed (done)

New buildings for Harrison and Hayes (done) converting Horace Mann and Emerson to elementaries, basically replacing McKinley and Taft (being done), remodeling of Lincoln (Phase 3)
In addition the plans called for either Franklin, Grant, or Roosevelt to shut down. The decision was made that it would be Franklin and that closed this year.
I am pretty sure the current plan for Phase 3 is the one that calls for Grant to be remodeled and Roosevelt to be either remodeled or rebuilt.

It would be nice if the Lakewood City Schools had an easy to use website that detailed the current plans.

I attended Roosevelt during fifth grade. It seemed very structurally sound. the inside didn't smell like paint and plastic.

The newer school buildings I see are too flat and broad and full of elevators. They all have too many windows. i would elect to brick up at least half the windows.

The 2006 update to the 2003 plan shows the following:
Lakewood School District will move from 14 to 10 school buildings
1 High school
2 Middle schools (725-775 Students)
7 Elementary schools (375-425 Students)
New Harrison and Hayes
Renovate Emerson and Horace Mann as elementary schools
New Roosevelt
Renovate Lincoln and either Franklin or Grant
