The world isn't always B&W

Folks,

I had my creativity running like crazy today so I put it to good use.

I've been meaning to paint, with a brush, but I have no skill. So I picked up the instrument that I'm most comfortable with, my camera.

I painted. All day I painted WITH WATER. I started at noon and ended just now. I've been inspired by taking my first trip to the Cleveland Museum of Art.

The works of Salvador Dali, Monet, Van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Picasso, the greats of our past time. I stood in front of history with a sheet of glass between me and the fundamental art of all time.

Take a look at my latest work. It will become part of a Canvas Print set, featuring subjects and elements in motion..

In Motion - Series I

Jim, I know how much you hate it when I link my flickr site but this slideshow is meant to be enjoyed large. Photos are larger, brighter, more colorful. When I saw the works of the great painters in person it sent chills down my spine. And yes, my camera has been fixed since all my photos are in COLOR! I know that makes you happy!

I hope you all enjoy my latest photos. I had fun working all day and figuring out what I can do to make the image better. It feels good to have so much energy and thought and to channel it into something that I love to do.

Take a second out of your busy day to think, reflect, feel, breathe, and realize that life isn't always black and white. There are many things that we can be thankful for, ahh...the many friendships we can cherish. Every soul provides a little splash of color in our cold November days.

Enjoy,
Ivor

These are absolutely wonderful! I think I'll use them to make clocks to sell on eBay!

thanks guys.

My mom received a fresh batch of flowers today so it looks like I'll be busy tomorrow.

I'd really like to make these available on canvas, but the problem is it costs so much to print on canvas.

If (or when) I have my next photo show, god knows when that will be in the budget, I'd like to make everything available at a great price.

With canvas, it costs quite some money to print stuff, and I'd like to keep all my prints for sale under $50.

When a 16x20 photo usually costs about $40 in my sports photos (for the parents) and a 16x20 canvas print costs $95 to produce, it's going to be challenging to make this stuff affordable!

I'll work something out. I'd like to have my work available for everyone. I know how tough it is financially in times like these..

just wanted to let everyone that hasn't read my announcement on the other section of the forum that I have published a book and it is available online.

Buy it here!

This is the most affordable way to own 76 images that I have worked on in the past year!

I'll be releasing a volume every year around this time so that people can have their very own collection of books.

The book is a 10x8 landscape book and is available in soft and hard covers. It ships to you in about a week!

I've been getting emails and calls from former teachers of mine from the high school congratulating me on my first published book! A chain email was sent by my former counselor (she wanted to do that) to every staff member in LHS.

That is why I'm proud to be a Lakewood High School Alumni. The support that a pupil can get from them is unbelievable!
