Kudos to LPD Officer Eikens

My mom and dad saw that someone had spray painted some markings that didn't look quite normal on the sidewalk between their house and the one next door, so I had to call LPD's non-emergency number for them.

Officer Eikens, badge 20, came out and pointed out that the markings appeared to be for re-repairing the sidewalk and not a gang marking which was the question.

Officer Eikens was great. He informed my mother it was all ok, was polite, and handled everything with a cordial hand. He didn't act insulted or miffed because of the call.

He is a credit to our city's police department. He, like the rest of the officers represent the entire department.

Once again a big thanks to Officer Eikens, badge 20, for handling something nominal but handled like a good neighbor would.
