Yesterday, Saturday October 6, 2007, the LHS Cross Country teams competed at the Legends Cross Country Meet held at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds.

It was a very hot morning. Medina canceled some of their meets due to the heat I understand. They should have here too in my opinion.

LHS Boys Varsity placed 5th overall with 20 teams competing.
LHS Girls Varsity placed 17th overall with 20 teams competing.

Last Saturday the LHS XC Teams competed at the 43rd McQuaid Invitational held near Rochester N.Y. Last year the McQuaid meet drew over 5000 runners from 215 schools in 5 states and Canada. I was told there were at least that many teams this year. Lakewood's Boys Varsity placed First overall in the Boys Seeded Varsity AAA (Large Schools). A commendable win for sure.

It was hot just to watch! Congrats to the LHS boys on a job well done. They will be a force to be reckoned with at districts, regional and State.
