A Beautiful Night On Madison

My son and I just got home from walking probably half of Madison - both sides. What a beautiful night for art and music. We stopped at Vance Music to see one of his pieces (he goes to Garfield) as well as his classmate's.
We saw people we know and got caught up on the game from a parked car radio. And we were able to pick out a fish and accessories for my daughter.
There's just no place in the world like our Lakewood! Congrats to all who put this event together. It's a huge success in my book.

What a great night! Such amazing energy!
I'd started the evening by going with a friend to a gallery opening next to CPT, then traveling back to Lakewood. Our first stop was the belly dancers outside of Omega. Our last visit was the Pop Shop.
At the end of the evening, our friend wondered where she'd been living. She had been missing a lot of Lakewood life.
Ruthie, Justine, and others worked like crazy to pull this off and so did every store owner that participated. It was wonderful! More, more, more!
Oh, and note to Glen Palmer, is there some reason we didn't know about the hardware 'n haircut promotion?
And to our friends at the fire station, we were sorry that you were so busy tonight because we saw that you were ready to show off the trucks.
Good neighbors, GREAT event.

What a great night!
Justine, Ruthie, Barb what can I say.
You did so much for Lakewood tonight.
The responses at my end were overwhelming.
More than one person mentioned "Best Art Walk."
What a night on Madison.
A officer with the police stopped and sat with me for a little bit, and he said, "I have never seen Madison Ave. so alive. You are right, the city should focus more on Lakewood."
I told him, no worry, DADA is ready to go live, and is ready to work with MAMA, LIA to help Lakewood be all it can be and more.
For those that doubt, "building the brand," I hope you walked Madison.
That was a wonderful evening.
Cost to the city and residents...
$0.00

I missed you!! I must have hit the belly dancers right after you! That energy out last night though, you can't bottle it! To have that frequently, what a dream that would be! People feeling safe being out, socializing, money being spent in Lakewood...was well worth the hurting my body is doing now! I would hire Ruthie and Barbara for professional party planners any day!!! Jim I can't believe you gave up a Friday night to hand out maps!!! We could have had you doing kareoke down there!!!
Thanks Diane for coming out and supporting!!!! Not surprised and wish I would have seen you!!!

Yeah Justine, I'm sorry I missed you too. I ended up skipping out of my prior obligation and hit the west end of the event.
I can't wait for the next one!
