New photos are up.....well, they're kind of old but I've been extremely busy lately doing some soul searching and thinking.
I've been in a slump lately and no matter how hard I try, I don't like any of my photos. I guess you are your own worst critic.
Anyways,
Feels good to be back!

Sports photography is ephemeral. Defining moments, defining spirit, a story to tell, plus effort, skill and passion.
You are your worst critic. There was good work there.

Ivor,
I don't know much about photography (except for the fact the I could stand at Edgewater Park and would not be able to take a shot of Lake Erie)
However, last year I was working for another newspaper that had allegedly professional photographers and your work in many times better than theirs. So I agree you are being too hard on yourself. You have a way of capturing the human emotion of sports in a way that most sports photographers who are only concerned with the perfect action shot or capturing the winning score are not. Many of your pictures tell a story in and of themselves. Keep up the good work!!!
