The Observation Deck

We are now heading down the homestretch. I have read that Observers and others want to get to know the candidates and listen to their views. Is the Observer planning any debates for ward candidates - not meet and greets - moderated debates? Would someone be interested in putting this together? If not the Observer, any interested citizens able to take the lead on this?

I propose at least three debates, on issues important to Lakewood residents.
I also propose keeping this separate from any mayoral debate. Any thoughts?

Also, I propose that we debate at least once at the Lakewood High School - maybe let the debate team moderate. We should allow the leaders of tomorrow an opportunity to participate in the process of government today.

Like you, I'm open to debates. My understanding is that the League of Women Voters will be organizing a candidates night.
