Recommendations for Chinese takeout

Post by Kate McCarthy »

I have a birthday dinner request from my daughter for Chinese takeout and it's been quite awhile since I've had any. Any recommendation for fresh, msg free options would be greatly appreciated.

I love Li-Wah.. 2999 Payne... You should be able to get there and back in about 20 minutes... King Wah and Pearl of the Orient also have decent Chinese food....

Szechuan Garden. 216.226.1987.

Should have been high on my list of Mom & Pops and I inadvertently left it off. Great food!

We like Szechuan Garden on Detroit. If you want really good Cambodian food go to Phnom Penh about 130th and Lorain. I also heard that the place on northland and Madison is good.

Is the Phnom Penh on 130th related to the one on W.25th? If so their food is fantastic!

Phnom Penh Restaurant Restaurant 13124 Lorain Ave. 216.251.0210.

Evidently we have the same tastes as the Hofferts! We love that place even thought it's not Lakewood.

Excellent, I'll have to pay that one a visit. Jennie & I went to the W.25th location over the summer and were impressed with the food, and the sheer size of the menu. Loads of options!

The family owned place at Hilliard and Madison has been a favorite of my family's for years. I am not aware of MSG issues, however, as my family had no difficulties, allergies, or whatever with that additive.

Of particularly delicious note to me there, would be the fried shrimp appetizer, their Crab Rangoon, and their won-ton soup.

The food is prepared well-seasoned.
