Congratulations to Mike Summers

Post by Joe Dangelo »

I would like to take this opportunity to publicly congratulate Mike Summers on his victory in the Ward 3 City Council Race. I look forward in the coming months to continuing the public conversation that we have started about not only the future of our ward but of our great city.
I also would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who supported me during this effort. It is an honor to have your support and I will do my best not to let you down. I can promise that I will continue to raise the issues and concerns that you have expressed to me during the last two months.

Respectfully,
Joe Dangelo

Joe,

I completely support Mike Summers in this race for the Ward 3 Council seat. He has the necessary knowledge and experience that will help him hit the ground running on Council. Lakewood needs that now.

That said, I applaud the way that you have conducted yourself, and I hope that you continue your involvement in quality of life issues in Lakewood after this election. I think you have a bright future.

Yes, as I've said before, Ward 3 was very lucky to have 4 outstanding candidates all of whom have passion and a desire to improve Lakewood. No matter who ended up winning, we would have been well served.

As in Steve Davis' case, I'm also a Summers supporter, but your campaign was also very impressive and well run. You are definitely an asset to Lakewood and Ward 3 and I hope to see more of you in the future.

OK in another thread it said the top two were running for council after the primary but now it sounds like just one winner from the primary. Which is it? Is the council race over? I have to admit this is the first council I have ever voted on since I moved so much in my life. It is good to actually know who is running your city!!!

Don't be embarrassed Justine, apparently Joe didn't realize he was still in this race still either.

I think his tagline;

"Barely Still a Candidate" would indicate otherwise.
