Ward 3 Candidates Night?

Are there any plans for a sort of candidates meet and greet for the Ward 3 council candidates? Seems like we've got alot of good people running, but many of us don't have a good idea who they all are or what they're about?

What about a candidate's night at Bela (a good Ward 3 establishment...) where the citizens can come and talk to the candidates and learn a little more about your positions and ideas?

Sounds like a good idea - if we can find an evening when the four of us are available.

I'm in.

September 12th is Rosh Hashanah - the most important holiday in Judaism along with Yom Kippur.

I will not be able to attend on that night and would respectfully request that we pick another one.

Thanks,
Diane

I'm not a ward 3 resident - but I must say I am very impressed with all 3 of you. You make scheduling a debate/forum look as easy as it should be. You all seem to cooperate with each other for the good of the consituent. I have the feeling that whoever is selected, Ward 3 will be well represented.

Joe,

I would say 7:30pm-8:30pm. I think we should probably ask Bela Dubby before we plan it there. I am willing to go where ever it is most convenient for people to get to.

Any suggestions from the residents?

PS- Maybe we should have Steve Davis call Mike and make sure he knows about it. Really, I think we should make sure someone gets in contact with him if he's interested.

Hello Ward 3 Candidates,

Thank you for stepping up to the plate and self-organizing through the OD. I hope you will continue to utilize this tool through the general election and beyond, as the winner takes their seat in office. The Observation Deck in combination with the printed edition of the Lakewood Observer offer to savy candidates an as of yet untapped well-spring of communication possibilities.

I hate to kill the enthusiasm for Bela Dubby, as it's one of my favorite 3rd places in the city. However, it's located in ward 4.

The boundary line south of Madison is actually Waterbury, whereas it's Clarence north of Madison.

In terms of 3rd places in Ward 3, you really have only bars and a park to choose from. That is, if you want to keep it out of gov. institutions.

I'd suggest Lakewood Park or Sulivan's.

Great idea. I'll see you there.

Count me in for Sept 11th.

I look forward to discussing Lakewood's future with my fellow candidates and citizens.

Thank you Bryan for getting this idea rolling.
