As much as I enjoy rooting for the Browns, Cavs, etc., I recognize that the paid athletes that "stock" these play for whoever "owns" their rights, or, once they reach the point of free agency, whoever offers the best compensation. (Granted, some factor in the community and other variables)....On Friday August 24th, an authentic "hometown team"--the Lakewood Rangers--open up their season at home against Berea (730 pm). Now, I happen to know many of the kids on the team, and admire their dedication and character. I encourage every observer to come and "observe" a home-grown team and the band. It's a great entertainment value. Besides, students are very aware and appreciate of support from the community.

Chuck,
thanks for bringing us back into focus. I love those Friday nights, and the sound of the drums. Go Rangers!

tickets can be bought in advance in the bookroom, at least they used to be. I'll ask for you today when I make my way up to the field.
also, tickets can be bought at the stadium the night of the game. I believe they are $5 for adults and $2 for students

It is really going to be an exciting year for the Ranger Football team. LHS left the LEL(Lake Erie League) after 75 years to join a new and exciting and very athletically challenging 16 team league, The Northeast Ohio Conference.
The league includes Lakewood, Brunswick, Brush, Cuyahoga Falls, Elyria, Garfield Hts., Hudson, Mayfield, Medina, Nordonia, Normandy, North Royalton, Parma, Stow, Strongsville, Twinsburg, and Valley Forge.
The price for ALL tickets at the gate(this includes students and
non Lakewood resident seniors) to all of the Home Varsity Football games was set by the league at $6.00.
Students can purchase pre-sale tickets for the football games in the Athletic Office during school hours for $4.00.
Lakewood residents 60 and over are free to all LHS Home Athletic Events. They must have a Lakewood Senior Citizen Pass. These passes are available in the Athletic Office during school hours. They will also be available at the ticket booths. Just bring some ID which proves your age and that you live in Lakewood.
10 Game Passes are available in the Athletic Office.
An Adult 10 Game Pass is $50.00(a savings of $10.00).
A Student 10 Game Pass is $30.00(a savings of $10.00).
JV and Freshman games are $3.00 for Adults and $2.00 for Students.
The Middle School Sporting Events will cost $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for students.
Come cheer on the Ranger fall sports teams...."Go Rangers"

Did anyone happen to notice Coach Kevin Fell was inducted into the Ohio HS Hall of Fame? I'm very happy for him and his family. Did Lakewood do anything as a congrats to him for the honor?

Can Lakewood Ranger jackets be purchased? Maybe the question is "still " be purchased?
