Jaywalking at Detroit and Warren Road Drives Me ....

The last few times I've driven through the Detroit and Warren Road intersection I've been ....perturbed by the number of jaywalkers. I'm not talking about someone walking across the street when the light turns yellow either.
I'm talking about people trying to walk across the street when traffic is flowing. The jaywalkers are quit belligerent and aggressive. Walking in front of cars, yelling F..you, giving the finger etc as they weave between cars.
It seems like a small thing but....
This is in downtown Lakewood at an intersection used by 5,000 cars each day. I might be way out on a limb but I think the whole scene is bad for the City image. And isn't image half the battle?
