I noticed this while looking at tonight's City Council meeting agenda:
Liquor Permit Application for a new D1 classification to AED Enterprises d/b/a Deweys Pizza, 18516 Detroit. (Pg.44)
Anyone know more about this?

That wouldn't be too bad ... the Dewey's in Cleveland Heights is a nice operation. They rehabbed an old building, and made it quite attractive. Very family-oriented, and they have a big glass window in front of their kitchen, so that kids can watch the cooks make the pizzas. And the food's pretty good. Not in the same ballpark as Angelo's, but what is?
But it seems to be a really class operation, so it will probably be another asset to Lakewood. It's a small chain out of Cincinnati, and from what I know, they really make an effort to find good neighborhood buildings, extensively renovate them, and try to become an asset to that neighborhood. They like being located in walkable areas, rather than suburban strip shopping centers. That probably explains why they want to come to Lakewood. They know what a good place this is!

I've been to a Dewey's on the east side, and from what I've seen, it looks great. It should be a fine addition to Lakewood.
